A bit off topic here but I really like your set up. Looks like a very creative place

Anyway I noticed you have no analog console for all your outboard so Im presuming your inserting your hardware directly through the interfaces.

How do you overcome the delay compensation with external boxes? I thought the only daw that can compensate for external hardware is Nuendo and SX3

Does PTs have this facility now?

From what I recall of the PT7.0 presentation I just saw, delay compensation is a new feature in the PT7 HD systems (only HD...). Compensates for delay caused by outboard gear and can be enabled and disabled on the fly.

Delay compensation has been on pro tools since version 6.4!

So providing you use your "software inserts" to access your outboard and you use them correctly you will have no delay with your outboard gear!

You guys whould read the white paper on the TDM sight, delay compensation is also and mainly used for keeping all tracks in tandem with each other and it helps with ohase issues. It is actually pretty cool and not so obvious as to all of that it does. The paper is a must read for those who are concerned if outboard mixers are necessary along with a few other really important and standard recording practices and misnnomers. Check it out, you guys won't be sorry! Peace!

Sorry, I meant to type that it helps cure "PHASE" cancellation issues and more, plus what you added Chris.

And, Ohhh what the hell RE all the C24 pics...the rest of you shoed me yours, I'll show you mine since it's the Men's locker room....
http://www.goldrecordings.com The monitors and video screen have been updated to a 23" cinema Display on a mobile mount and the crummy KRK V8 (how embarrasing (gotta change those pics yesterday) are now a full array of Hr24-8s with a 12" sub. Way better!

FYI, the Parrot in the bright room has sung on several hit CDs. Too bad they were not intentional takes! I have one of him singing right along with a vocalist on "Point of No Return" -Janet Jackson demo 20 years ago. Sorry, you can tell that I've been up all night. I'll try to go now!
