Is there a virtual mixing console for v 3.4?
Not a musician's, but a journalist's question: I use Pro Tools 3.4 with PowerMix but actually haven't got a mixing console. How can I control the recording levels of my tapes (mostly interviews)? Is there a software solution (utility or something) which I can download from anywhere? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Re: Is there a virtual mixing console for v 3.4?
I'm not aware of any software solution, other than the volume input controls in the Sound Control Panel. I would probably go with an inexpensive line mixer, which you could get for under $100 from a music store. Cheaper solutions would be something like a patch cord from Radio Shack with a volume control knob or slider built in for maybe $10-$20. And the rock bottom solution would be to go out of your tape deck from the headphone jack if you have one with volume control. You would certainly not be the first to do it that way.
Maybe someone else knows of a software solution. Bruce Paine Digi eMarketing
