Edit question...
Hi there,
I have a session going with about 12 tracks and a few Aux. Most Automation has already been done on the tracks. Now the problem is, that I want to add an intro before everything else. I just couldnīt figure out how to do this. I tried to mark every track and then shift it right to give me some space for the intro. But this didnīt work right. Some Tracks didnīt move although everthing was marked. Iīm shure there is an easier way of doing this. Hope someone can help me out. thanks, tjkili

Re: Edit question...
In the edit window select all of your tracks and then drag them where you want. Just make sure you move them all at the same time so they stay in sync.
Good luck, Mat

Re: Edit question...
Also, maybe you were on "shuffle"? Look in the upper left corner choose "slip" or "grid".

Re: Edit question...
Thatīs what Iīve done. All tracks were marked. and I was in Slip mode.
As I moved them to the right, 2 of the tracks didnīt move; the rest did. I donīt really know why. I tried it a few times, but 1 or 2 tracks allwasy stayed where they were.

Re: Edit question...
It may be silly but this happens to me too.
Zoom out and select all the tracks. Then zoom in on the beginning and the end of the song and make sure no little portions were left out. Sometimes little heads or tails of tracks don't get selected and thus dont move with as they should. Hope that helps, -drew |

Re: Edit question...
firstly, make sure no regions are locked (they have a little pictire of a padlock at the bottom leftmost corner.)
select the edit group "All". move the cursor a little beyond the end of the session and hit Shift+Enter. this selects everything between the cursor and the very beginning of the session. drag everything to the right using the grabber tool. once you're done, save the session with a new name in case you mess it up and need to go back to the original session. |
