Dr. Sound (Marti), I was told the DA conversion and processing quality of the Q-Sys range could easily compete with the Gallileo range of Meyer Sound.. Do you agree, or is there more to this?
Cheers, Jan

Sounds great.

I nearly went for the Uno, but I'm now holding out to see how wallet-meltingly expensive Avid decide to make the MTRX once you have a few A/D cards and a mic pre in it.
Fingers crossed. It looks like a great box.
The DAD AX32 is the same thing as the new MTRX. It's made by the same company. I really like it and I have been told by many a person who I respect that the Mic Pre and A/D /D/A are world class.

I use a Hybrid system.. I use both and the DAD. The QSC QSysy sounds very good.
The Galileo sounds amazing! It is made for Meyer speakers and
I really like the Galileo especially for what I am doing with it (don't ask )

Apples and oranges. The MTRX doesn't do any speaker processing afaik. No b-chain EQ, delay, etc. etc.
The NTP stuff (DAD, MTRX or whatever you want to call it) has great routing I/O capabilities but expect about 2-3 times the price and then you'll still need a speaker processor.

Qsys is a great hi end system and quite popular. Overkill for my purpose...

Good to know Marti thanks I'd heard the converters were fantastic too.

Frank, I agree, I think the MTRX is going to be expensive.
It was the simple MTRX monitor Eucon integration into PT that got me excited, but its probably a lot to pay just for that.

I'm in no great rush as I don't need the 9.1 capability just yet, I'll wait and see. The Xilica gear still looks great.

That's really hard Marti, not to ask...
But if I don't ask, I assume your protools outputs going from the DAD into the Q-Sys 500 into the Meyers...
So you have to correct me if I'm wrong, and then you'll might have to tell a little thing I wasn't supposed to ask ;-)

Word on the street is it'll probably be $5k retail. I was told it will include the Eucon Monitor Control (usually a $1k add on with the AX32) and the 64 ch Dante Module ($480 option from DAD).

DAD retail for all that is $5360.

I've been shopping around a lot for Atmos solutions, and I keep coming back to this box. Dante and MADI in one box is convenient (and cost effective), and it's rare to find any interfaces with TWO primary PT ports for full 64ch.

Anyone using a TMC1? Looks like a great unit. Considering pairing up that with my MTRX.

FYI most of the add cards for the MTRX are around 2 grand. So you are going to hit 10k really fast.
