So here are the details
MSI B75A-G43, Intel B75, S 1155
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 32GB PC3-12800 1600 DDR3 RAM CML32GX3M4A1600C10B
Intel Core i7-2700K 3.5GHz - LGA1155 Quad-Core Sandy Bridge CPU
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6450 512MB DDR3
Seagate Barracuda Hard drive
Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Pro Tools 10.3.3 PCI HD3

The things I would change about the build now knowing what I learnt over the process.

1.) Would have got an IVY Bridge processor, would have had less problem with internal graphics card.
2.) Graphics card I choose isn't great in Mountain Lion, would have gotten something NVidia on the Tonymac list.

That's about it - we have a plan to get and SSD eventually to really up the performance but we had to be a bit tight and use drives we already had.

If you have any questions get a hold of us.

I wouldn't know the first place to start, I've read on here and the Tonymac forum but I'm stumped

More pertinent question is - what/where do u want to go/do. Start there

I got my hack running awhile back and yes there is a ton of info that u don't understand going in

I just ordered off the tony Mac sites for the custo Mac Pro build but I really wanted to stay at 10.7 but I didn't realize that the parts would put me at 10.8

Thus the question what are u trying to accomplish is more important

To be honest I'm not to sure what I'm trying to achieve my PC/Pro Tools rig runs quite good most of the time, but there are one or two things that annoy me sometimes. Just from reading on here the past few years people say that they are more reliable and stable, maybe I'm just trying to see if this is true. If I ended up with 2 rigs one windows one hack that would be fine I could use one as an edit rig

No matter what the hack, Jetway, Gigabyte or Asus, if this is your first time doing it, you will have headaches. It took me a few months to REALLY get my rig super stable on my first go, but now that I have built about 30 of these, I'm very confident in every hack I build and include failsafes for damaged system drives (user or HW) in the form of bootable backups. This means NO downtime.

Here are some recourses:
www.Tonymacx86.com
www.insanelymac.com

The thing is, you need an understanding of PCs and Macs to really fully understand the way this all works, so if you are up to learning it, or at least ready to risk things not being TOTALLY smooth from the start, then use those sites above.
