Load up the clone you did before you loaded PT 10.3.8. If you did not do one, I would do a clean re-install of Mavericks; do a clone of that system; then re-install PT 10 if needed.

Some have tried un-successfully to manually remove PT 10. Good luck.

Thanks, Doc. Are you running PT 10 on Mavericks with success?

Here is what to remove from PT 10 on Mavericks in order to uninstall PT 10:

Uninstall PT 10 manually (on OSX 10.9.x Mavericks)

In Mac HD/Library/Frameworks trash the following files:

AFnd.framework
CFnd.framework
DAE.framework
DFW.framework
DHS.framework
DigiPlatformSupport.framework
DigiStreamManager.framework
DirectIO.framework
DSI.framework
DSPManager.framework
DUI.framework

In Mac HD/Library trash the following files:

Application Support/Avid/Pro Tools
Application Support/Digidesign

In Mac HD/Applications trash the following files:

Avid/Pro Tools (you may want to keep your Plug-In Settings folder)

In Mac HD/System trash the following file:

Library/Extensions/DigiDal.kext

In ~/Library/Preferences trash the following files:

com.digidesign.ProTools.plist
DigiSetup.OSX
Pro Tools Prefs

There will be parts deleted that are used by PT 11 as well but they get re-installed once you launch PT 11.

No problem, I ran it on a test drive over the weekend. Sessions with Arturia Moog and 10 audio tracks 24/48 with no problems. Didn't run my waves plugs because I forgot to put them in the cloud. I really didn't see any benefits in Mavericks, so I will hang in Mountain Lion as that is super stable for me. I don't have 11 so no testing of that. IF you're not forced into Mavericks, I'd roll back to Mountain Lion and wait it out. Avid has expressed no interest yet of supporting 10, but I have no interest in supporting 11; that may change if I find more information to support that it's worth my while.

Thanks so much for this! I installed Mavericks today, but I hadn't uninstalled PT10 yet... so your post was very helpful. PT11.1.3 up and running fine now on OS X 10.9.3.

The PT uninstaller WILL work if you log out and log back in as Root. Goggle that if you don't know how. And yes, it works.
