Apogee MiniMe?
So I'm thinking of buying one. I like the pres, the ADC, the stable clock and the limiters should I need them, the fact that it's very portable is great but not my over riding concern, so ...anybody else out there using one with a PT rig - what's your experience?
Or is there some other piece of kit that I dont know about that does the same job better and please don't suggest anything more expensive as I'm going to have to sell my Granny for this as it is (well more like rent out than sell but I'm sure you dont want to know the exact details )

Re: Apogee MiniMe?
I have the mini-me (and a Mbox). I really like the mini-me but latency is an issue. I work around it by taking the headphone out of the back of the mini-me and routing it (along with the Mbox) to a small mixer. This way I can monitor the mini-me latency free. Obviously adding a mixer into the rig reduces the portability factor...but without the mixer, beware of latency!

Re: Apogee MiniMe?
Thanks for your responses.
Mr McDuxter you say the clock improves legibility of your audio, is this just for stuff recorded with the mineme or does that include older mixes as well (I'm assuming it is), and if so, do you just have it plugged in all the time even when mixing just for the clock? How much difference in legibility are we talking about here, like night and day or something very much more subjective. Is there anything else at all in this price range that I can compare it to. Thanks again for any and all contributions this is most helpful.
