Emagic Unitor 8 MK II
Is it possible to use an old Unitor as synchronizer, SMPTE master? -PT HDn 12.4

The unitor's SMPTE output is just random SMPTE code, it doesn't relate to the SMPTE position of your session, so it's not really useful unless you aren't using it for positional reference.
It has been a long time since the drivers were updated, so I don't know if unitor/amt8 still work with modern OS's or not.
