Re: internal port on a 1394 firewire card
I have a dual 1.3ghz G4 sawtooth with a pci firewire card with an internal port on it.
The single G4's all had an internal FW port built in to the motherboard. I use an IFC-1P internal firewire converter plugged into an IDE drive and thus I have an internal firewire drive. http://www.caloptic.com/store/index....dex&cPath=4_22 I did this before SATA drives were taking off, so if I was going to upgrade I'd get a SATA card with internal ports and a couple of SATA drives which has a much faster transfer speed than Firewire. |

Re: internal port on a 1394 firewire card?
thanks jazzyj for the help! sata would be better, but i already have this card and some drives, so it'd only be fifty bucks to go with the adaptor. thanks again!
