Freezing on "creating DAE objects"

Hey all,
Upon launch, I have been freezing on "creating DAE objects". Then I get the blue screen with the message "your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart".

Then it gives this error message:
Stop Code: PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA
What failed: stdriver64.sys

Of course this is perfect timing as I have been on hold the last three weeks from finishing a project.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's falling over in the Sound Tap driver.
Completely uninstall that software. See if that helps.
If you need Sound Tap reinstall the latest and contact the vendor (NCH) if having problems. It is not a Pro Tools issue.

While I expect it's a basic driver bug, for these crashes suspect AV software as well. I would uninstall all AV crapware if still having problems.

All good Darryl. I trashed Sound Tap. Before this I had deleted what I thought was all NCH stuff, but apparently overlooked this one.

You just cured 3 weeks of headache. Much appreciated.
