Just drag and drop the midi region into the edit window.

Im looking to pull a midi track from another session into the current session. When using "import - midi to track" function there is no MIDI file when opening the folders. I want to get MIDI from one session to be used another.

Export the midi file from the session you want it from. Import it into the new session

Like the audio option..when using the "import to track" function shouldnt there be a place the MIDI file is in the folders when it asks you for the location? The option is there to use.

My understanding of this is that a Pro Tools Session retains SMF information, 'til otherwise exported. As a result when sending a Session file (.pts) all SMF information is sent.
