HP XW8400 with HD Expansion Chassis
Hi all,
As the title suggests I am running a new XW8400 with the following in the Digi HD Chassis : 1 HD Core 1 HD Accel 3 HD Process All connected into the HP with the Digi PCIe Card. I haven't finished building the studio so haven't tested the rig out. Does anyone have any tips on using RTAS alongside a TDM chassis? I have heard that there is a latency introduced and this can give problems for the RTAS plugs? I use a LOT of RTAS virtual instrument's so would like to make sure everything is happy and in time Thanks in advance

Re: HP XW8400 with HD Expansion Chassis
Expansion chassis double your rtas latency, but if you are using them only for VI's you should be OKish, it depends on how sensitive you are to latency when you are playing. Do you need the expansion chassis?
Personally I would just put the cards in the computer, problem solved. . . If you have other cards, put them in the expansion chassis. . . |
