(This is a serious question. Does anyone have a compelling reason?)
Nope.

I've heard some good reviews about performance, but none of the new features are game changers, especially in terms of a Pro Tools workflow. It's just business as usual...

What remains something of a mystery to me is how other software companies (and I mean a whole lot of them) can have updates to their software ready to go on the day of a new OS release. I mean, Apple does make pre-release versions of a new OS available to developers for just this reason. Yet Avid (and before them, Digidesign) seems to take forever to conform their software to a new OS. Remember how long it took for them to come with a Pro Tools update that would run on Leopard? And then Snow Leopard? I can't recall which of those two it was, but on one of them, it was almost a full YEAR after the OS release that Pro Tools came with an update that would run on it.

That is RIDICULOUS!!!!

How many different hardware & computer combinations are there with Avid's products do you think? Every possible combination has to go through full testing & qualifying before Avid can put their stamp of approval on something. Companies that just make software don't have to do any of that, they just have to make one version that runs on the new OS and that's it. Companies that just make hardware only have to deal with one software driver (CoreAudio) for compatibility. Avid makes both hardware and software, which runs on a very wide variety of systems and audio hardware, and in order to officially qualify ALL their products on a new OS release, every piece of hardware has to be tested on every model of mac. Not to mention Avid not only makes Pro Tools, but many many different plug-ins as well, which all have to be tested and qualified.

Does that solve the mystery for you?

So far 10.8 is working fine on my 2011 MBP with PT 10.2 and my Mbox Pro 3rd gen. I did have to change the security setting to "anywhere" in the system prefs before Mt Lion would let me install Pro Tools.

Installed 10.8 because I wasn't in the middle of any major projects, heard a bit of success on the DUC, and saw the Pro-Tools-Expert ML video.

Opened without any Gatekeeper dialog or quitting. Old sessions loaded and ran perfectly. System and ProTools are running faster than Lion. Install at your own risk.

I would be interested if anybody can confirm this. That would be a reason to jump on ML.

as long as you don't run anything but pro tools you MAY be fine, but all bets are off if you want to run other audio or video programs.

Reports everywhere say that ML is quicker than Lion. I'll confirm that it's generally quicker though I haven't tried ProTools.
