Default Lamborghini Sounds

Can someone recommend a good library for Lamborghini sounds? Current would be ideal.

You could try www.pole.se
Website uses flash so won't display properly on a idevice.

They Record high performance cars for games and films and sell as packs with several mic angles etc.

I haven't used them but they are often used on AAA games.

Good luck with that.

Without knowing what else they recorded, they up close sounds aren't great.

The distinct sound comes from a distance. The Corvette C6 for example sounds nothing like it, unless up close.
For one it has a mod on it, so its not stock.

Think about most car shots. They are coming toward or away, cut to interior, backed off rear end shot.

While authentic, the position of the mics, at least in the demo's serve little to what I would want.

I'd rather have and Lambo by, peel out from 6 feet back, than right on the car.

These seem to serve a video game more than a movie.

Edit - Ironically - sounds for games.
Or rent one. Get the production company to pay for it. That is if they want authentic.

If you need a Lamborghini pass by theres no point in listening to onboard mics is there?

Not saying the pole stuff is what the OP needs, only that they exist. And I bet there's a reason that they have recorded a lot of sound for game audio, more so than for feature films.

Personally I love the sound of well placed mics picking up the various internal noises of a car. It gives me options to create minor or major perspective shifts while retaining the general character of the car and the driving style. I try to record that whenever I record cars.
Will those extra mics represent the true sound of that car when used in isolation? Of course not, that's not what they are there for.

Only time I might really strive for full authenticity is when working on a documentary. At all other times storytelling, emotion or thrill trumps authenticity.

i hear ya both. This is being shot in the middle east and I am asking that the local sound crew capture as much as they can during filming. There is also some solid sounds in the Hollywood Edge Sounds of Speed library. Just want as many options as possible. Plus I can always manipulate some other cars to sound more lamborghini like.

well, considering where you are why not record some things you might want.

The biggest problem I find is that what you really need isn't there.

So you have to create it or record it. I've yet to come across the perfect away for what is on screen.

Lambo's have sound, but it isn't far from a Ferrari either.

Is it about being authentic or creating excitement?

I reality, you'll never get exactly what you want unless you can record it.

Cheers,
