Audio Playback volume?
Let me first say that I'm a total noob to computer recording software...I just bought pro tools m-powered essential recording studio today and installed it on my laptop thinking I would be able to get some stuff started tonight. On my laptop there are speakers so I can play music and YouTube videos and hear them with or without headphones. I want to record guitar and mess around producing stuff.
Anyway...I try to open it and right after I chose the new session guitar thing it says..."This session is saved on a volume set to "Transfer" only. If permitted, set the volume(s) in question to "P" (Playback) or "R" (Record) in the workspace." So now I go to the workspace drop down tab and I try to change the C drive, D drive (Lenovo) and F (portable hard drive) from transfer to playback or record and a message pops up that says..."C, D or F" can not be designated as audio playback volume because it is not a fixed removable or medianet volume." Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get past this? I was supposed to get some stuff I've been writing recorded and sent to my bandmates tonight but this is my first time messing with this software. Thanks for the help and I apologize if this in the wrong place... |

Re: Audio Playback volume?
I try going to preferences to change some settings and stuff and it says I have selected an item that is only available in the full version of pro tools m-powered. It says I need to purchase pro tools m-powered to get full access to all of these preferences.
Pro tools m-powered essential is what I purchased. |
