ProTools Prefs & Database Helper/le8 and 10.5.5
I used this little program with my 7.4 /10.5.5 and it seemed to work great. I've tried it with my new drive with 8.0/10.5.5 and it crashes and I get and error message (7014) and there is this little file I cannot get the trash to empty, the file name is some weird characters. If I drag this file out of the trash onto the desktop it goes poof! Now the whole system seems very buggy, I cannot even record a couple of tracks without spinning beach balls etc. May just do a clean install this weekend.
(Yes I have done all the spotlight /energy stuff) It would be cool if some wiz could also make up a little app that would automatically set the computer up the way digi likes i.e spotlight /energy/ time machine/etc set up for Pt Recording. and then a button that would turn on everything back to apple defaults when you are not using Pro tools Anybody else having these problems?

Re: ProTools Prefs & Database Helper/le8 and 10.5.5
I use it without a problem, with pro tools8 and 10.5.5.
Guess it's some os related issue. Try onyx first, than the helper app you have. Tamas Dragon
