wow.. i can not believe it.. I have not launched PT since last time I was at this forum.. multiple reasons that I won't bore you with here.. But i see such a huge delay for 2019 version, and STILL no sidechain PDC, ARA or FIXED radius? With Logic and Cubase having advanced so much in that area.. why on earth won't avid spend 10 minutes to fix the transient smearing of radius? I am at a complete loss.
I'll come back in another year.. I might or might not renew in december.

Alexey Lukin (iZotope Radius) and I have spelled it out quite clearly for Avid and Jeffro has assured me (years ago) that he would escalate this issue. Nothing so far. This should not be an issue of backwards compatibility either, as it would only affect tracks not yet processed by X-Form...

I paid it forward with a new Pro Tools software subscription this month...Maybe they can use my $20 to pay a programmer for 10 minutes of their time?

Avid really needs to stop taking the fact that its the industry leader for granted and truly start to innovate. Other DAWs like Studio One 4 and others are so far ahead of Avid. I mean what is really in this update? OK the ability to add tracks without the playback skipping is nice but come on is that really a feature?

We have seen it before, a software company takes its status for granted and another one arrives with better features and they disappear.

Also lift the stupid track limitations.

A "priprity" is a form of speech where the probability of action is inversely proportional to the apparent sincerity of the statement. Examples: "I've been deeply concerned for some time that the lawn needs mowing and I'll be dealing with that very shortly." or "We're very much aware of that bug and our best programmers will be working hard to resolve it as soon as possible."
