oxford 911 chipset--anybody??
Does anybody know, does Lacie still use the oxford 911 chipset in the d2 series--I believe the triple interface uses 911 on the 400 speed side and the 912 chip on the 800 speed side, and then there is the usb---but does this sound right???
I need and answer pretty quick as I ordered and got in a lacie 250 gb porsche design and I read posts that it was not good but it does have the 911 chipset. But I will take it back and order the d2 series if it still uses the 911 chip or better. thanks stix |

Re: oxford 911 chipset--anybody??
You should go for the D2. The Porsche hard drive is slower and I had lots of problems with them. I never had any problems with the D2 series.
