Default oxford 911 chipset--anybody??

Does anybody know, does Lacie still use the oxford 911 chipset in the d2 series--I believe the triple interface uses 911 on the 400 speed side and the 912 chip on the 800 speed side, and then there is the usb---but does this sound right???
I need and answer pretty quick as I ordered and got in a lacie 250 gb porsche design and I read posts that it was not good but it does have the 911 chipset. But I will take it back and order the d2 series if it still uses the 911 chip or better.
thanks
stix

You should go for the D2. The Porsche hard drive is slower and I had lots of problems with them. I never had any problems with the D2 series.
