HDX Drop

Hello everyone,
short post to inform you about my misadventure:
I buy a second card HDX and after some days I do a live recording of a profile with a 96-channel, when back in the studio to listen to the recording, I realize that it is unusable as full of drop, I try to understand what might be were problems but nothing, I was told that I probably had the wrong sync ... !!! The problem comes back to me later and sometimes even with the studio recordings (so was NOT the Sync, try to contact the dealer who told me to make a digitest (but the result is ok), on this same forum I am told that could be a problem hard drive or computer, change these as well but equal, so random the problem recurs to me. About a month ago after one year of problems I'm going to redo the umpteenth digitest I revealed a number of errors encountered in other digitest, but unfortunately the warranty has expired .... moral of the story for the replacement of the card is must i pay around € 1,300.

So with second HDX card i got:
work unusable (live),
fool remedied studio ,
lost time and
Payment on extra of 1300 Euros for ADVANCED REPLACEMENT of defective card...

Sorry to hear about your rough experience. I supposed it's the risk you take buying used.

Yes, buying used is possible, but taking it new (like me) absolutely NO.

So how did you buy a new HDX card for 1300 euros? It is +5000 euros in stores.

No, i buy a NEW (but with defects) HDX Card in a C 24 Bundle (at Full Price),
and now with ADVANCED REPLACEMENT i buy an extra € 1300 for change the HDX...

Perhaps it is a good time to call your local Avid dealer or Avid tech support...

Just they asked me 1.300 Euro for replacment...
