Care to share us your system configuration, is it supported one? I don't experience the issues many are claiming to happen, but that is because I always follow the PT Compatibility guidelines.

I had to go back to 12.4 after trying out 12.5 for a few hours.
All my songs would open fine, play fine, record fine but they would crash pro tools 12.5 on close. All songs! Only on Closing the sessions.
Spent 2 hours with AVID Tech Support and we decided to go back to 12.4

The usual... not even phased by it anymore.
Pro Tools is the only app I use daily which crashes 2 to 3 times on me.
No other app I know of does that.

I'm glad I'm able to read this thread before I go ahead and purchase PT 12.5. I'm new to PT and was wondering what are my options if the current version is experiencing so many bugs? Should I wait until the next version becomes available or should I go with earlier download or another audio program all together?

Thanks for any advice

If you know nothing of Pro Tools then I would do yourself a favor and keep it that way.

As have I, since version 7.3. Both of my custom PC's act the same with 12.5. My first build was built from DUC advice from the huge PC thread. And has worked spectacular until 12.5.
My new build is a much bigger and faster upgrade, which worked great with 12.4 as did my first build. Both computers choke to death on 12.5 and give out CPU errors.
This is two completely different builds with 6 years in between components and act exactly the same with 12.5.

My system is absolutely within spec on every single item:hardware, software, settings. I have been around pro tools since it was called sound tools. I have had a few online tech sessions and nothing get's to the level of "pro."

Thought I might have had an answer,,, but was mistaken! As soon as I have Kontakt AND Play in a mix, its down for the count in under 5 minutes. With either one by themselves, I can get 20-30 minutes, still not good, but something anyway. So tonight, when I start back, I'll go back to 12.4 (or something workable, 12.4 wasn't good to me either,, just better than 12.5??!!) Mike

Man - is this really happening?? Is anyone having a good life with 12.5? Clean install of 10.10.5 then PT make it any better? The noise blast fix is essential - no way to go 12.4 or earlier for me...
