Default PT11, Command Drag Volume Level in audio track

So... in PT9, I used to be able to drag my volume level bar of an audio track up or down in normal speed (by just clicking on it) and when I command Clicked (on a mac) I could drag the volume level in slow motion, 0.1 db at a time. Now in PT11, it will do it sometimes but most times it won't. So I'm guessing bug ?

Move to the right side of the keyboard and try again. Last time something like this happened to me, the keyswitch was worn out. If this is the case for you, a quick clean (or replacement) of the keyboard should get you up and running.

No that's not it.
Keyboard is brand new. This is a PT11 change, from PT9.
I've never used PT10

Maybe you're holding Command, when you should be holding Control?

Then again maybe not.

My mom always told me to think before I spoke and the read before I thought.

And yet she apparently didn't tell you to rein in the sarcasm when someone is trying to help you.

Remember that you have not yet been able to figure out the problem, either. It could be something simple. Like, say, clicking first and then pressing command. Good luck to you and your wise mother.

I don't use 11 much but I just opened a couple of my current PT10 sessions in PTHD 11.1.2 to test, and command-clicking faders to move in .1db worked fine in all of them.

Yes KMcK, it usually works fine but one in 4 times it will not work. This never happened before.

Mesaone, sorry man but be constructive in your help. Don't just say something to have an extra post. Or maybe try it first. Control click on a volume doesn't do anything and your first suggestion was just... anyway...

And I love sarcasm when deserved. ;-)

I was being constructive even after your snide remark, actually. I suggested you try clicking first, then holding command. I'm on a PC system most of the time, today included, so I can't "try it first" - but you can, and did. At any rate, pardon me if I don't take forum etiquette lessons from someone whose reply was "My mom always told me to think before I spoke and the read before I thought."

Regarding my first suggestion, it was a good one. What if your keyboard was having an issue? It's happened to me. Your original post did not say it was new, so there was no way for me to know. One could point out that you did not provide enough information to properly diagnose the issue. What you're trying to do involves three things; keyboard, mouse, software. It's not good troubleshooting to immediately disregard one third of the equation.

I'm not going to get in an internet slap fight here, but I was trying to help you out. My second suggestion didn't solve your problem (Control is the modifier for PC, sometimes I can't keep all my commands across two systems memorized) but that's no reason to be condescending. So good luck, the final bit of troubleshooting I will suggest is clearing preferences and databases.
