Default Midi Latency Problem welcome back in 12.6 :(

Oh no, this Problem was solved and now it returned. Why ?!?
When i record midi in a session where other tracks have plugs with latency, the recorded midi notes has an offset of the sessions Latency amount.
Terrible !!!

For VIs or external devices, both? Check MIDI preferences for delay comp.

I only work with VIs.
They should always be compesated.

Default Midi Latency Problem welcome back in 12.6 :(

I always thought this was due to my interface buffer....

It's one of the reasons I went out and bought a set of congas ....

So your telling me that PT 11.3 era stuff was causing this b/c of how it handled midi?

PS - I was using a 3rd party Interface at the time.

Give 'em time, I'm sure they'll re-fix it.

Indeed, it has returned unfortunately. This renders 12.6 completely unusable for MIDI.

Hi, I noticed it too. Thought it was a bug, but it is not. My PT guru told me it is a preference that for some reason is chosen as default. Preferences/Midi/Delay Compensation... untick the boxes you don't need and you're good to go!

But i have no idea why I'd never noticed it before 12.6.
Maybe it hadn't been a default setting...

Cheers

Piotr
