Plug In Button dead

For over a year I have used the Plug in button to close the current plug in window. Now it doesn't work. Digi even sent me another unit to fix the problem. (this is a newer unit, not the year old one.)
The replacement still does the same thing. Is it a possibility that in upgrading to the 5.3.1r2 - (Or whatever that last revision is) could be the problem? I only updated cause they said it FIXED issues with C24.
Any thoughts?
The light never comes on and the button is dead, although testing it with the self test seems to work, telling me that it is maybe a software glitch.

Mine is about 3 months old and I have a similar problem...
If I open a Plugin when I'm on the Mix screen, then I switch to the Edit screen, the Plugin button won't close the Plugin window when I'm on the Edit screen.
I haven't been loosing sleep over it but I'll just throw that out there.

I'm seeing it too. The button will open the plug but not close it. Just installed the r2 upgrade with no improvement.
