Default Fast Track Solo - PT Express - Win7

Finally got my drivers installed or at least I think I did and my Pro Tools Express fires up and it can see the Fast Track Solo. Now, when I open a old or create a new session I get a small sound of static. Arrgh.

Below was my previous post....come on guys any help here on this forum???

Hi everyone, I am a very old user of pro-tool back in the digi design days and recently decided to start back up again. I purchased a brand new Fast Track Solo - iLok - PT Express 10.3.4.

Did the whole install drivers for the Fast Track - Registered my software on the iLok and set that up. Installed Pro Tools and have hit a brick wall. I am getting the following error.

"The selected ASIO audio device could not be initialized. Please choose another audio device."

Now, I am not a dim light bulb. I searched this out and found sometime the ASIO4All fixed the problem. Did that no avail. I also saw post on holding down the N key while booting so you can select another device? That didn't work.

Here is my hardware configuration. Again, I don't understand what this issue is and why it won't let me get past the initial startup.

Hi, I haven't used a Fast Track Solo, but a couple of ideas would be to try it on another pc if possible and see if you have the same issue - maybe the unit and/or cable are defective. You might check to see if there are older/alternate drivers available. Sometimes switching to a different USB port will help. And of course, make sure you've done all the Windows 7 Optimizations.
