Question Purchasing PT10 support ticket

I'm wanting to know if the $39.95 PT9 LE/M-powered single incident support ticket will help me with PT10.

See here my original issue that has not yet been resolved:
Original problem thread

Also, is this support ticket 1 single phone call or is it support until the issue is resolved? If PT10 will not work on my PC I will not waste money on a support ticket, if all they can do is say "The issue is caused by your hardware". I need to know what specific chipset or driver is causing the issue, I've gone as far as I can go troubleshooting hardware manually. PT10 is the only program not working correctly on my computer, so I need a comprehensive list of known incompatible hardware/software.

Could not tell how many watts your power supply is, or if you assembled your system from scratch. I have over a dozen PCs, but only one gives me an occasional blue screen. I recently tried adding memory to it, and (although the memory passed its boot diagnostic) the hard drive disk array would not boot. I have decided to upgrade its power supply.

That particular computer has three 15,000 RPM SCSI drives, an 80GB PATA and a 250 GB PATA. It also has an Adaptec 320 hardware RAID controller.

You might want to check your motherboard. Although mine will boot with an ATX power supply, it is recommended to upgrade to an EPS 12 volt when adding additional PCI cards. In my case, the breaking point was the additional memory.

Blue screens are a definite annoyance, and the easy way out is to switch to a Mac.

My power supply is 650 watts, not sure of voltage. Yes, I assembled it. I was working perfectly fine, then after upgrading the mobo, ram, and CPU, PT10 blue screens on loading. I feel confident of the original build and the upgrades, so it's most likely a chipset in the mobo that PT10 just doesn't get along with. But I don't have the money or time to buy mobo after mobo just to find one that works.

It has already been suggested, but disable your built-in audio. Also, disable your wireless network.

650 watts sounds adequate. That or a 750w is what I will be buying, but with 24 pin + 8 pin + 4 pin connectors for the mobo.

Windows 7 installs pretty nicely. I used to see many more bluescreens with XP.

If you have not already tried, enter your BIOS setup and reset everything to default. Disable video shadow and any other upper memory BS until your boot stabilizes.

Also, remove everything except your video card and boot drive before you worry about your interface.

You may need to purchase a different firewire card. Some of the chipsets built into motherboards do not play nice with either digital video or sound interfaces.

My guess is Avid will give you this link and tell you to buy one of the qualified firewire cards for Windows:

You mobo sounds like it is way fast, much newer than what I have been using.

The link to the ADS Pyro is not functional, but the card may still be found on ebay or on the web. Firewire cards with the Texas Instruments chipset are what I remember as being the cat's meow.
