I leave my 002 console on 24/7. There has been speculation that turning it off and on can produce extra wear and tear on the machine. I just make sure I mute it when not in use.

There is no solid evidence that turning on and off gear on a regular basis has any significant impact on it's lifespan - so, in the interest of saving energy, it's probably best to turn them off when not in use.

Also, heat is one of the major sources of component failure. Another vote for turning equipment off.
