S1 Fader Doesn't Work

All,
I have an S1 that I purchased (new) less than two months ago. Up until today I've been actively using all eight faders for a session I'm working on in Pro Tools 2021.10.0 and for no known reason Fader 4 doesn't register any moves I make with it while it is attentioned. Solo, Mute, Automation and Pan work fine. This seems limited to the actual fader.

Has this happened to anyone before? Could I have accidentally done something in Control that I'm unaware of?

Update.
I just attentioned the channel (4) that the fader doesn't respond to and using my Avid Dock it does in fact respond. This would mean that mechanically it does work correct? However in EuControl Settings, under Assign, I changed that channel from the default of Auto Assigned to Attentioned Track then I attentioned another track in my session and tried to change the volume using the S1 and nothing happened.

This leads me to believe it is broken. Can anyone help? Before I try to have this replaced from Sweetwater I want to make sure there isn't something else I missed.

Any ideas?

It’s less than a year. Get a replacement. Sorry for the issues.

I'm having a similar issue as well. Fader works but it really stiff when moving it. Had mine only a little over a week. Waiting to hear back from Sweetwater as well.

Try taking the Fader cap off and simply put it back on. That worked for me except it happened again so I repeated the process and it's worked so far. My Sales Engineer just got back to me waiting to see if I want to swap it out. I've read other posts about this issue and someone commented that "Avid is aware of this issue". That doesn't make me feel too great since I'm about to get a second S1; I have a Dock as well.

That was the first thing I tried but it didn't work. Feels like the motor on the fader is messed up.

Same issue here. I bought my S1 10 months ago and the problem started after 5-6 months on CH1 and now CH6 makes the same unresponsiveness.

I need to power cycle or unplug & replug the Ethernet cable to make it work as normal. After a while like 20 minutes same blues again.

Avid created RMA for me and calls the unit back for repair / swapping. I am working everyday, so I need my controller everyday. I am still trying to figure it out with static IP, turning off the Wi-Fi etc. But I think I’ll send it.
