PRINT vs offline bounce

2x2.26ghz quad core intel xeon, running PT HD native 11.3.1 OSX 10.8.5. PT runs great very few crashes (some days get buggy but then a restart seems to fix things). Issue is when I bounce offline, everything is fine. When I try and record/print tracks IN the session PT crashes every time. Anyone else see this?

when i was testing the trial/demo of PTHD11.3,
noticed that when i bounced FAST, works OK.
but if i click to Bounce in RealTime "Slow", always Crash.

with PTHD12.3.1 Fast is slower than RealTime "0.7x" if i have a slow HDD or if the Ram Cache is Small.

with PTHD12.4 i get too much CPU Overload errors = useless.
unless i click to ignore errors.

because you have a Mac, also have the possibility to Run Windows with Bootcamp...
i´ve seen many threads about Macs run faster on Windows.
try
Windows7x64.
& a different OSX.

I did a clean reinstall, deleted prefs etc. seems to work again. I may try updating to 11.3.2 after this project

Not really. How much ram do you have and do you have a separate drive for PT sessions?

The fact that you are having regular crashes at other times points to your system having some unresolved issues you should look at. Could be hardware, software, who knows?

24gb ram

1 drive for system, multiple others for sessions

regular crashes but only when I'm printing. Not sure what else I can check thru?
