Default Field recording in or from the Dominican Republic

Hi all! Doing a feature that's set in DR. Does anyone know of anyone there ( or headed there soon) that I could hire to do some ambience/walla recordings?

OR does anyone already have some DR stuff that they'd like to sell/trade/share?

Why do you say that? Deep woods animals the same in west Africa? what about the people not speaking spanish? not trying to be ungrateful but I'm looking for something specific.

Sorry I was not being unhelpful. I just thought of Haiti and it's French roots for Creole. Much of West Africa is leafy and jungle - similar sort of terrain and is French speaking. I didn't realise Dom Rep is Spanish. Apologies.

Are there any studios in the DR that you could contact directly to do some custom recording?

Or you could pay me to go.

Hello. Does it have to be the Dominican Republic? Because if you just want straight up walla, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico (caribbean side), Central America and even some places in the north side of South America would do.

You probably at least know someone that knows someone in Puerto Rico, so I think that may be your best bet. I had a crazy idea that maybe you or someone you trust can book a cheap cruise with Travelocity or one of those places and just travel there to the Dominican Republic or the area. It may be cheaper than paying a professional's rate and you get a vacation out of it.

And actually since you are in Brooklyn, you can probably find a neigborhood with enough Dominicans or Puerto Ricans that you can get some usable walla from, add beach and jungle later.

Good luck.
