Pro Tools LE on new MacBook Pro I7

I just got the new 17" MacBook Pro, I7 processor. It comes with OS 10.6.3 preinstalled. I installed PT LE 8.0.3 cs2, which works fine on my old Macbook Core Duo 2 (also running 10.6.3). However it does not seem to work on the new Macbook Pro. Everytime I try to create a new session or open an old one PT freezes ('Not responding').
According to Digi PT LE is only garanteed to work with OS 10.6.2, so in that respect it is probably not too surprising. I just thougt it would work since it worked on the MacBook Core Duo 2.

Has anybody got PT up and running on the new generation MacBook Pros?
Any ideas what is wrong here? And what could be done? Is downgrading to 10.6.2 an option? Will the MacBook Pro I7 work with that?

Now it runs... sort of. But very unstable. Everytime I try to quit PT it freezes. And most importantly: No sound coming out of my Mbox mini, whatsoever. Have never seen this before: Lots of action on the meters, but no sound coming out.

Tried to send the computer's sound out of the M-Box mini. Started Itunes: No Sound!
Could it be a firmware conflict? My Mbox mini has firmware v. 1.40

Nothing new. I am hoping it is 'just' a matter of using another interface (i.e. mbox 2 pro). I'm gonna get me one within the next couple of days and hope that'll do the trick.
Was kind of hoping to see posts from someone more lucky than myself, but it has been surprisingly quiet. I guess it is still a bit soon...? Am I really the only one having tried to make pro tools work on the new MacBook Pro?
And even better yet, I would like to hear from you Digi-guys? What is going on?

I wouldn't rush out to buy another interface yet, that's an expensive way to troubleshoot.

It is a little soon for many people to have these since they just came out last week.

Are you recording to an external compatible hard drive (this is basically required)?

Yes, I am recording to an external fw800 disc. And yes, that seems to be more necessary than ever. I tried several times to create a session on the internal drive and PT froze. Never tried that before.
But the most obvious problem right now, is that no sound is coming through the interface.
I did buy an interface already, since I needed it anyway. Hopefully I will get it today, and I can report how it goes.

Identical problems here too!

Brand new Macbook Pro I7

-Pro Tools crashes if you try to create a session on the internal drive
-Pro Tools crashes when you quit
-No audio output (tested on Mbox2 Micro and Mbox2 Mini)

In a nutshell - Pro Tools LE is totally incompatible with the brand new Macbook Pros with the I-series chips!
