Can't Open Session- "because Pro Tools could not set Sample rate to specified value

Everything says 88.2 My console, my firewire driver, and my MIDI setup all show 88.2K. The same error occurs if I try to create a new session in Pro Tools. This error is only on opening my existing sessions. And now it also is telling me there are no DigiCards.

What's Up??

I only upgraded to allow for PT11, otherwise everything was working fine.

I already deleted databases, prefs, etc. Made no difference.

Could be your Tascam. Can you change interfaces and see of you can set the sample rate then? What if you try a different rate? What happens then.

I tried restarting the Tascam. It is set to 88.2, I verified my firewire interface and it was also LOCKED at 88.2, even the MIDI setup on my MAC verified that it was 88.2K and I am using the Firewire as the interface. If I used the Pro Tools Aggregate, then it starts looking for Digidesign cards, which I don't have. So I use the Firewire MKII interface choice within the MIDI setup.

I can play anything from my files and it passes properly, it's only when trying to open or create new sessions.

Even when I try to create a new session in PT, it defaults to 88.2K, but when it is time for it to create the actual session and write it to the hard drive, the error pops up that it could not set the sample rate, ever though it was set already with all the hardware.

Can you change the sampling rate by using the System Preferences Control Panel? It's at the bottom under "Other". I have a control panel for the 002, I don't know if you have one for your driver.

Was the only change the update to 10.3.6? Did you re-load any drivers?

And you are you have the playback engine set to the correct interface?

Did you reinstall the device driver? If nothing else I would try uninstalling that and reinstalling again.
