Default Avid CoreAudio Device in System Preferences

I've just installed Pt 10 and 11 (latest versions) on Mavericks. When I go to the sound in the system preferences, I seem to have Avid CoreAudio Device as well as Pro Tools Aggregate I/O. Is this normal or have I installed something I shouldn't have. I do not have any Pro Tools hardware, but only an M-Audio M-Track.

Thanks

You do know that Pro Tools 10 is not supported on Maverics? And that there is known unisntall problems with Pro Tools 10 on Mavericks and that coinstall is warned against?

But no, just having a CoreAudio device there won't cause any problems.

I've just read the read me on 10.3.8 and your right, theres no mention of Mavericks, only PT11 seems to mention the support. The weird thing is that PT10 seems to be running fine on Mavericks 10.9.1. Even the Avid virtual soft-synths appear to be working.

Yes, and that is as others have noted as well. But good luck trying to uninstall or maybe upgrade that Pro Tools 10 software. But hopefully Avid will fix this in future and support a coinstall on Mavericks.

Fingers crossed then. Tbh I have just discovered that all my spectrasonics and native ins work now in PT11 so I will start working with 11 as I don't own that many plugins atm.
