HD10 Lion Install Question
I'm currently on PTHD9 Native and on 10.6.5.
I'm thinking about moving to Lion. Not sure the best way to do so. I can put another drive in with Lion on it or I can update my current drive. Is there a best practice on this? Thanks in advance. Carl

Apple recomends going to 10.6.8 first.
I did that, then cloned my OS drive, then did the Lion upgrade, then did the 10.7.2 combo update. It all went off without a hitch.

Did you clone just to have a backup? Also, I use time machine. Is that the same as cloning?

I did the same thing as ej and have had wonderful results with 10. There is an Mbox pro issue that is an easy workaround that Avid will fix at some point, other than that I really like the combo of 10 and lion so far.
