Default Waves Vocal on Startup, Lynx Aurora... and Raid???

Hey all,

Ok... I am still a newbie here. However, I got my HD core card and PT 7.3 and I am getting it all going so far.

I got it all installed. Everything looks good. I have a few weird things and it would be great if someone could help me out.

1. On startup, it always asks for a folder for Waves Vocal Bundle (I own it). No matter what folder I select... it jumps back to the same window. What's going on here??

2. I am using Lynx Auroras with the LT-HD card. So far it all seems to be working great... but I can't figure out how to get it in the mode that allows me 16 analog i/o AND 16 digital i/o at the same time. Anyone have any ideas??

3. I have been told by Digi that you can't use PT HD with Raid 0 arrays. However... I have 2 raid zero's on this system... and it seems to be working fine. Am I headed for some unknown disaster... or is this old information? It's not too big a deal because this system has all removable drives and I can just pull them out if I need to and stick single drives in.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi,

On the Lynx you press & hold the To Analog Out button for a couple of second, then start pro tools. Out 9-16 will show on the 2nd 192i/o on the setup. Hope it helps...

Hi crypticglobe,
For pro tools, Raid is not supported. Your not directly going to see any problems with the system, it just will not be as stable as a non-raided set up.
Peace,
Brandon

I had that problem until I removed the Vocal_WavesShell-DAE 1.0.dpm from the digi plug-ins folder.

Thanks Bob. That did the trick here too.

Oh... and to all... I see a lot of questions about what PC... I am building some super rock solid HD machines over here... QUAD Core. I begin testing on an Octo-Core in a week or two. I ain't the cheapest... but I build a hell of a machine for PT or Nuendo. Running both here... and several clients machines now too.

Thanks. But what kind of stability issues will I see? I fired up some pretty "honkin big" sessions and got no problems. What should I be seeing??

Thanks,
