Dumb Question: Using Insert cable for stereo?
Will an insert cable (1/4" TRS > 2x 1/4" TS) carry a stereo signal into ONE input on a Digi001? In other words, I have a Korg Electribe with L/R unbalanced outs. If I use an insert cable and plug the TRS end into a single input on my Digi001, will it still recognize the stereo signal, thereby saving me from using 2 inputs?
I'd TRY IT instead of asking, but my system is out of order for the next week or two. I had assumed it wouldn't work, but no harm asking. |

Re: Dumb Question: Using Insert cable for stereo?
no. the 1/4" TRS input is BALANCED mono.
the other way around would work: if you connect the TRS end to a portable cd player (via 1/4->1/8 adapter) and the 1/4" TS ends to the 001, you would get the stereo signal out into two UNBALANCED inputs. do yourself a favor and learn what this means. let this be the last time you ask this
