PT 6.4 can't recognise 888/24

I've purchases G4 with double OS. In 9.2.2 PT 5.3.2 are working well (Mix 24+) but when I've installed my upgrade to 6.4, I can't run it because it tells me, that Digi hardware is not switched on. Of course is on. Of course MAC OS 10.3.4

Pro Tools 6.4 is for HD systems only:

Pro Tools 6.4.1 for MIX systems only will be out in about a month.

5.3.2 (and all 5.3 versions on OS 9) was also for HD systems only, so I'm not sure you have the hardware/software combination you think that you have. If that is your combination, it won't work. Check the Compatibility documents for your specific hardware.

You need to trash your PT & DigiSetup Prefs. It's in your Users>Library>Preferences Folder. Trash them, empty trash and restart. Launch PT and it will force PT to ask to setup the hardware. Good Luck.

Huh? But you said you'd upgraded to PT6.4 - where did you get that from? The current release is for HD only.

You want vs 6.2.3 and panther. You're not trying to run PT 5.1.3 in OSX are you?

Yeah. I've upgraded to PT6.4 because I was told that 6.4 is the last version which support 888/24 and MIX 24+

Also I've upgraded MAC 3 to MAC 4 which has OS 9.2.1 and 10. as well with dual boot.

So I'm running PT 5.1.3 on OS 9.2.1 so far.

For PT HD I will wait until they will cost at least 50% less than they do now!

Maybe 12 more months and the price will come down. With help of the biggest idiocy the music industry has made, iTunes, it will happen, sooner or later.

So far I have to wait the first month for the update. In mean time I can try Digital Performer I've heard is very good.

PTools and the music are my very expensive hobbies.

Which part is rude in your opinion and... why?

BTW. The client is ALWAYS right. Never heard of that one?
