Default Avid and Waves Partner on Soundgrid Support

...for Avid Venue S6L

Las Vegas, NV (April 15, 2015)—Avid announced at NAB that it has been collaborating with the likes of Audinate, Waves, Dolby, Blackmagic Design and Fortium Technologies to create new additions for its Avid MediaCentral Platform, with many of the new announcements focusing on live sound.

Avid and Waves are working to bring support for Waves plug-ins to the newly announced Avid Venue S6L console through Waves SoundGrid, enabling customers to integrate tested and certified third-party technology. Additionally, Waves will be offering customers access to its plug-ins through the Avid Marketplace.

Dolby and Avid announced plans to streamline editing and mixing workflows across Pro Tools software and Avid Pro Mixing solutions by developing deeper integration of Dolby Atmos in Pro Tools.

Audinate has joined the Avid Connectivity Partner Program, working with Avid to develop a new Dante option card for the Avid Venue S6L, which will provide additional flexibility for connecting to devices and networks.

Digital security specialist Fortium Technologies’ Fortium MediaSeal®file encryption will be integrated into Avid Artist Suite solutions and sold through Avid channels, helping protect media assets against leaks caused by hacking, piracy or accidental distribution.

Blackmagic Design has partnered to deliver Avid Artist | DNxIO, a high-resolution video production system that combines hardware by Blackmagic Design with Media Composer video editing software.

Fascinating! AVID incorporating SoundGrid. Plugin control on S6L? Wouldn't that be something... add to the S3 too for studio?

Yes, I'm very curious about S3L support.

The S6L is too big (case wise) and too expensive for my current needs.
