What other programs allow you to import pro tools sessions for mixing?

what you could do is import the wav files though.

their not waves. I dont know what they are. The session was recorded on a Mac. I think its AFF or AIF.

oops, i lie, they're not aff. it doesnt say what they are, theyre just "files".

if they're not aiff, then they are probably a mac thing called sd2 files. there is a program that can convert those to .wavs, but i can't remember the name. sorry. can you have the person that originally saved the session go back and do it properly, i mean, have them check the cross compatible box and save audio files as either aiff or .wav? that would be easiest.

From my knowledge, I think that Protools 5.0, 5,1, 5.3 series defaults to wav files on Mac and PC.

If your trying to import audio from another Program use the tip below......

also....I think the New Parish systems can open or import Protools session, there may be other like.... Nuendo if I'm correct.
