Default Altiverb Latency

I have 2 stereo Altiverbs and a 5.0 Altiverb on Aux tracks, and I am experiencing tons of latency. Anyone have suggestions? I have selected "Load as Aux" on the Altiverb window, and reduced the tail verb to 80 as recommended. Also not using high latency mode in the plug in window. All versions of software are the latest.

Running PT 7.1 cs8 on Dual G5 with 4 gigs of ram, HD Accel 4, expansion chassis.

I'm running same versions as you, and I don't experience any latency. "Load as aux"? Is that some feature I've overlooked?

What's your H/W buffer size set to?

HW Buffer size! I decreased it to 512, and magic! No (or very little) latency. My buffer size was too big. Thanks for your help.

Oh, by the way..."load as aux" is a setting on the main window down at the bottom near the left side. Selecting it helps take some processor load off the main RTAZ unit, if you are using Altiverb on an Aux track like most people do.

Glad I could help. I found "load as aux". I'll have to check that out.
Thanks.
