Using the mac pro 5.1 numeric keyboard with an active usb extension corn

Hi guys,

I'm having issues with an active usb extension cord for my pro tools set up.

My mac pro says "there isn't a keyboard connected" when there's a perfectly good active extension cord connected to it.


How do you guys have your mac pro thats in a machine room or cupboard wired to your keyboard?

Okay I think i've fixed it..

First You unplug the mouse and ilok from the keyboard's usb ports then plug the mouse first. Check it works, then plug in the ilok. Hey presto working again. Gonna try a restart and double check this is now permanent and works properly.
