Default What are these yellow indicators at the meter?

Hi there,
So, the meter is always green and is not high or danger at all but sometimes I see those 2 yellow indicator at the top, what do those mean? If it's clipped, aren't them in Red?

This is in Monitoring mode, how about when I see that 2 yellow indicator in playback mode?

You may have your meters set to to something other than PPM.

Between this and your other thread, it might help to read the metering section in your manual and familiarise yourself with the different metering options Pro Tools offers.

Dude, just read the manual.
It’s your friend. It’s there to help you.

Agreed but this is nothing that he hasn't done before. I've seen several of rockman's threads over on Motunation (that's the forum for Digital Performer users) and he asks the same type of questions - ones that could be easily answered by RTFM. I'm not excusing him but just pointing out his aversion to reading the developer provided documentation.

Heck even the PT help menu should help him out.

Every brain is different which means that potentially every person can have a different system to understand how things work and achieve the same goals as others. If we have time to chime in here we can as well try to help.

Go to the Pro Tools tool bar>Help>Pro Tools Reference Guide pages 120 to 124. It's all there.

All well and good but still it doesn't excuse someone from not reading through the docs that come with the program or the help screen available from within PT or any other program. Now if someone comes on and said they've read the manual or Googled it and still can't understand something then what you say makes sense. To not even do the basics that's a whole other thing.

Glad you mentioned this before I did; I've said that before in situations with a poster like this.
