Question SO... Programs, System Cache or Background Services?

From the Digidesign Windows XP Optimization Guide:
"Then click on the Advanced tab and set both Processor Scheduling and Memory Usage to 'Programs.' "

Yet, we're taught by 97 different audio/DAW websites that Processor Scheduling and Memory Usage should be set to Background Services and System Cache, respectively...

I'm confused. Which one is it, then?

UPDATE: detailed answer here:

When I bought my first system (Digi 001) they said "background services" but i've seen references that suggest "Programs." BOTH of mine (002 rack, M box) are set to Background servives. No problems.
But I DID encounter problems setting memory usage to "System cache." As in the PC wouldn't even boot and I had to start over.

Changed both to programs here, and no issues.

Thanks guys. I gathered some more information about this and made changes to the guide:

It's still inconclusive, but I found reports of people having problems with System Cache, but not Background services. I think that's why Digidesign doesn't recommend changing to System cache, but recommends background services. I guess setting to Background services reduces latency.
