Default target button in plugins

I've searched through the manual and cannot find anything that seems to apply to what I'm trying to do.

Is there a way of setting a preference so that any plugin for which I have deselected the target button will stay that way?

At times I like to have a few plugins open at once and it would save some time if such a preference existed.

Not that I'm aware of. But there is a fairly simple work-around. Hold the SHIFT key when you open a plugin and it will open with the target button selected(so the plugin stays on the screen when you open another). This same trick works on sends(I use it to keep my click track master on the screen)

Along with what Albee suggested, look at Window Configs.

Creating them for your fav plugs and making them part of your template goes a long way.

And remember, they're importable using import session data.
