windows 7 64 bit lost cause?

looks like im [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] out of luck, cant get the firmware to update, and my 64 bit system wont work with protools, if i knew that i prolly would have waited on this purchase.. any news on 64 bit compatibility?

Pro Tools 8.0.4 and 8.0.5 LE both work with Windows 7 64 bit, Pro Tools 9 also works with Windows 7 64 bit.

what am i doing wrong then?..i get an error that says not compatible with 32 bit system... i have 64

Yeah not sure what to tell you on that but i am Wondering the same thing about windows 7 32 bit.,,,,,.....Soooo can pt8.0.4. Le w/mbox3 be installed on Window7 32 and if yes Please let me know how? PLEEEEEEEASE HELP I just wanna start recording already!!!!!!!!!

I think if you dig a little you'll find work around for most problems.
I'm running W7 64x since I had the 11R, and appart for some glitchy drivers at first, it's been all good for me.

glad its working for you.....did you get any error codes when u tried to install the program?

I'm not sure what part you're refering to.
Installing Pro Tools went just fine for me.
Updating the 11R too, although I remember someone mentioning issues with IE9 and/or 64bit systems where you had to somehow force the update.
I'm sure the info is posted somewhere in this forum.

yea, i put the disc in and click install protools, then it just hangs up for about 2 min. then i get the error code.. firmware wont install either.

all i need is the usb hooked up right?..no midi cables for firmware updates
