Midi click unsteady
I suddenly started having problems with my midi. The click will not keep a steady beat. Any suggestions?

Re: Midi click unsteady
Hi there,
How loaded is the session with plug-ins? I get incredibly unsteady MIDI playback when the CPU load is high. I use a USB device as well, so maybe that's the culprit? I was looking at Cubase and one of its options under the Audio setup menu is 'favour MIDI timing'. Maybe this prioritises MIDI. I don't know? I hope Digidesign are looking into this scenario as it seems to be a real problem for a few of us. Anyway, my workable solution is too deactivate all plugs whenever I record MIDI or require steady playback. (The keys are: [control]+[apple]+click on insert, or hold down [alt/option] as well to deactivate entire insert row). Please keep me posted with what sort of session load you have when MIDI becomes unsteady.. Cheers, Phil
