AIR instruments not loading in 12.7

AIR instruments are not loading in 12.7 (which may/may not be an improvement on 12.6.1 on Sierra where they simply crashed Pro Tools!). I'm on version 2.0 of them. I'm trying to find a way to upgrade to the current version on the AIR website, but haven't had any luck figuring out the right promo code to make this happen... don't feel like repurchasing them all just because I upgraded Pro Tools.

Are you talking about Strike, etc? I had to update them when I upgraded one of my machines to Sierra a couple weeks ago and they would not load.Check the Updates tab for each product on their site (e.g. Strike Updates).

Oh thanks! I assumed it'd be a paid upgrade to 3.x for compatibility. I'll look at those links now.

Unfortunately, when I install (say) Strike, it asks for an activation code, and the one from AIR/Digital River provided when I purchased the initial upgrade from PTIEP does not work (it is not the correct number of digits).

I didn't think 2.0.7 was a paid update from 2.x, but might be time to contact AIR (Software Authorization Assistance).

Yeah, I'd already emailed them about upgrading to 3.x, but no response. I'll try again.

Are you installing/reinstalling? Or are you just installing an update? Have you opted for the iLok license, or are you just activating it on the computer itself?

One problem I've found (I'm on Mac Yosemite btw) is that if you need to reinstall, say on a new computer, or a reformatted HD, you do have to install the full strike, including all the samples, even though you may already have the samples installed on another drive.

You can't install v2.0.7 unless the previous 2.0.3 is already installed, and if you just install 2.0.3 without the sample libraries, then it asks for the activation code, even if you have the license on an ilok. If you try to update to 2.0.7 it says it cant find the original installation, presumably because it updates some of the sample library data too.

After jnstalling the full library, you can then update to 2.0.7 correctly, and the ilok license is detected.
