Default SOLVED>>Need HELP, SUPER ASAP.<

Dear all,
I've problem when updating 6.7 to 6.9.1
I'm using OSX 10.3.5...
After instalation and restarting the computer, ProTools cannot load....and there's error message :
Submit report...blablabla....
I click details :
Exception : EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes : KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0X0002) at )x00000006

PLeaseeeeeee....help.......me.....
I have deadline......

It's 21.00 in here and I cannot contact digidesign dealer...I have 1 session to mix tonaight....
please help......

Follow this ...

...and especially the sections on trashing databases and preference files. You may have obsolete/corrupted prefs, so get rid of those.

This PT upgrade may also have caused plugin compatibility issues.

Looks like you may have to bring your system up to 10.3.8..? Just a guess.

it sounds like you have computer issues, not PT issues.

i would run Disk warrior on ALL drives -- launch from the CD to run it on the system.

you also need to repair disk permissions and restart.

I agree with minister on the DiskWarrior suggestion. Hopefully you made a clone of your system drive before you updated and can go back to booting up from that if necessary to get your system up and running for the mix session. Good luck.

I'm trying to repair disk permission...but : "Disk Utility cannot repair"...whew....

It will be aloooooooooooooooooooong night.....please stay with me guys......

I have to mix movie scoring for next 6 days, and then I fly to bangkok for dolby mastering....it's my first "movie" job...and I screwed up.....

How about upgrading the mac to 10.4 and installing 6.9.3cs4? It will help?

You could try:
• Repairing disk permissions
• Downloading and installing the OSX 10.3.8 combo updater.
• Repairing disk permissions again
• Reinstalling PT 6.9.1
