Default Pro Tools 10 for OS X Mavericks?

Any chance this will ever happen? It seems kind of dodgy not to make 10.3.9 and have it be compatible with Mavericks? I own an Eleven Rack. It's cool you made a stand-alone editor for it, but now this begs the question of making Pro Tools 10 compatible for Mavericks. In all my years of owning Digidesign/Avid products I've never seen such poor customer appreciation when it comes to making older versions of Pro Tools compatible with the latest Apple OS X. Not all of us here use our Macs specifically for Pro Tools; some of us like Apple's latest technology. You're handcuffing people by not letting them enjoy the latest OS X just because they haven't bought your latest software upgrade. Am I alone in my thinking?

I HIGHLY doubt it.

PT 11 is out and the new flagship product.

Pt 10 works on ML 10.8.5

to me no need to put resources on an old product that works now on what was specified.

I realize there are many threads regarding this issue.

Reality here it just doesn't make sense to do it.

I realize PT upgrades are not cheap but still its works now so have fun.

use a different partition if you need mavericks for something else.

or just upgrade to 11 and your golden and

Dumped 10, 11 is on Mavs 11.9.2, and not looking back ever!

Frankly, not every upgrade is an improvement, at least in terms of your own workflow. If what you have works well, why upgrade unless there is a reason?

PT10.3.9 - when did that come out?
But seriously you can't expect a developer to make an old product perfectly compatible with the latest operating system. If you buy a bleeding edge computer you really owe it to yourself to have up to date software that is known to work on that os and PT11 is that software. That being said I don't know that there's anything that would stop ML from being put on a current new Mac.

Of course the obvious argument for PT10 on Mavericks is that it's a) impossible to buy a new Mac with Mountain Lion, and b) there are still plugins folks might rely on that aren't AAX64 (or the upgrade fees might be prohibitive).

That said, I have 10.3.6 on Mavericks (along with 11.1.2), and the few times I've used it (due to needing certain plugins) it's been fine. YMMV of course.

I did just that until I became sure that I would not need 10 again. It was not hard to uninstall 10 before upgrading my ML to Mavs.
