Question,

What does this mean? Do they mean a "clean install" of the Protools software or 10,8, which I believe installs itself from a web download now.
I installed 10.8.2 andf the PT 10.3.2 on my Laptop and it seems to be fine there. I have not done so on my Tower however.

If you are running Pro Tools on Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7, but intend to upgrade to 10.8, you should follow these guidelines to help avoid installation, launch, and performance issues.
1. We highly recommend you avoid updating an existing OS install to 10.8. Format a drive partition, and start with a fresh 10.8 installation if at all possible. Then, install Pro Tools (10.3 or later) and the latest available versions of your plug-ins.

In this case they are referring to a clean installation of the OS.
Completely wiping the current drive or putting a new fresh dive in for the new OS. Unfortunately Apple has made this difficult but it is possable to make a installer from the download.

You know asking an OSX question in a Windows section is a good way to be ignored.
