Please help! My Command 8 is not recognized by my Mac Pro.

Hello, I`m new to this Forum.

I bought a used command 8 last week but It`s not recognized by my MacPro. Oh actually It was recognized only 2 times and worked great with my protools system but since then I`m having really tough time to make it work..

I re-installed os and protools but it doesn`t show up in Audio Midi set up window.

Here is what I`ve tried.

My another Mac(powerBook G4) recognize command 8, and my girlfried`s MacBook Pro also recognize even they don`t have command 8 driver or protools.

My MacPro`s usb ports recognize other devices so I`m sure they are working fine.

I tried various os (fresh installed tiger, leopard, snow leopard and lion) on MacPro but still doesn`t show up so maybe os doesn`t matter..

I`ve read all threads here and all articles on avid but now I have no idea to make it work so Please help me!

Here`s my system

MacPro (earlier model 4x3ghz Intel xenon, 8gb RAM)
Protools 9.0.5
Motu 24i/o (pcie-424 installed)
Command8 (latest driver and firmware installed)

waht you need to do:

go to: set/ peripherals/midi controllers/

type: command 8

send receive: commd 8 port 1


that should do it!

but while my MacPro doesn`t recognize Command8,
I can`t set send and receive command8 port 1 because they don`t show up it
peripherals menu, it just say none. I do have command8 in the menu..
